Benefit Analysts, Inc. works with businesses and organizations of all sizes providing a wide range of group insurance products.
Life Insurance:
Group life insurance through your employer is “Guarantee Issue” (GI). The employer may buy a set amount of death benefit per employee at a low cost. The employer may also sponsor a voluntary life program where the “Guarantee Issue” limits are usually much higher than when the employer pays the premiums. This can be a valuable benefit for employees who cannot otherwise obtain life insurance at standard premium rates.
Voluntary Cancer, Accident, & Critical Illness Insurance:
These work-site insurance products are available on a voluntary basis where the employee pays all of the premiums. They are designed to cover specific situations: i.e. heart attack, stroke, cancer and accidents. Payment is made directly to the insured and may be used to help defray out-of-pocket costs incurred as a result of significant claims.
Vision Insurance:
Vision coverage is one of the most requested benefits. Employees are able to see the immediate benefits and appreciate the discounts available on frames, lenses, contacts and exams. Vision care can be offered as “employer pay” or as a voluntary “employee pay” benefit.
Disability Insurance:
Your ability to work and earn a living is one of your most highly prized assets. If, due to injury or illness, you are not able to maintain a job, the costs of living continue with the added medical expenses. A group disability income insurance policy is designed to help protect your paycheck through providing a portion of your lost income. We offer both short-term disability income insurance (usually about 13 weeks) as well as long-term (usually payable to age 65). Disability income insurance may be either “employer pay” or strictly voluntary “employee pay”.
Dental Insurance:
Healthy gums and teeth are critical to our overall well being. Regular dental exams are vital to maintaining oral health and may also identify other medical issues. Many dental plans will insure the majority of the costs of two cleanings per year. Many of the other dental procedures are covered at the 80% or 50% level. Dental insurance may be employer funded with some employee participation or by the employee entirely on a voluntary basis.
